        如果是这样的话，一个人在孤单时，她敏感纤细的神经牵扯着自然界的种种物质，太阳的朝夕旋转，海水不断的冲刷着海岸，鸟儿鸣叫不休，星辰在头顶环绕，这些平淡的世事在她某天突然变成了一个人时，似乎干扰了她的思维。
         为什么心脏还在不停的跳动，为什么那些眼泪汩汩不止？他们不知道已经到了世界的尽头，末日已经跟随着“再见”到来？
        为什么他们都不知道？为什么他们没有如同自己这样的绝望？难道他们不知道没有你的日子，如同是黑暗充斥了宇宙，连生命都不复存在？他们不知道，他们不知道什么才是世界的末日。
         
         carpenters演唱的原版歌曲悠扬的乐曲声紧紧跟随着她缠绵的声音，每一句的“why”都问的柔韧有力，让人无法质疑，最后的哼唱让人意味深长。一个音符一个字母的发音都让人强烈的感觉到歌者对恋人的声声质问。相比起来，藤田惠美的翻唱更多的加入了一些柔和悲伤的元素，她的音色清透又柔和，对于单词的发音较之carpenters更为轻柔一些，更多的像是在对听者倾诉一段伤心的回忆。
          
          声声质问着那些看起来如常的事物，希望全世界的人都能理解自己的悲伤难过，那么多的“why"，在时间过去后，还是以”Goodbye"结尾。
